off, Glenavon Park, Bristol BS9 1RW, UK
This nature reserve is actively maintained by a group of local volunteers, and has a few paths around a wildflower area. A lake can be viewed from a wooden platform, and there were even a few lads swimming in the lake when I visited. There are entrances from the street and also from adjoining areas of open space.
Great for dog walks and kids. The pond is lovely with the ducks
Kings Orchard, 1 Queen Street, Bristol BS2 0HQ, UK – 0117 922 3719
Enormous park with lots to see and do. Good for walking and cycling with a variety of trails, some well maintained and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs and some that are just muddy tracks. The north east end of the estate has a large open field (good for football or cricket), children’s play area, cafe and car park.
Great place to walk the dogs..grass or woods. V muddy though in Winter. C afe basic but nice closed at 2.30. Good coffee and a good selection, friendly people and dog friendly.
