Local libraries may offer more than you expect. As well as books and magazines, libraries lend music, DVDs and computer games. Some have coffee shops and all offer free internet access. We need to use them or we will lose them.

Sea Mills Library

Sylvan Way, Bristol BS9 2NA, UK – 0117 903 8555

Helpful, local and part of the community! Only wish it could be open longer hours.

Staff most helpful - very personable & professional - they go the extra mile. although a very small library, staff tend to bend-over backwards to get the books one requires, regardless of the specialty or rarity of that specialty. it can be a tad noisy at times, but I'd still give it full marks plus.

Pill Library and Children's Centre

Crockerne House, Pill, Bristol BS20 0AT, UK – 01934 426070

Love this library. We live nearby so easy to get to. It has recently had a refurbishment and introduced new computerised book checking in and out which seems to work very well. I have found it very easy to get hold of any book I want within a few day. So fabulous.

Shirehampton Library

Station Rd, Bristol BS11 9TU, UK – 0117 903 8570

Brilliant service.
